PrimusGFS

Audit & Certification

PrimusGFS is a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) benchmarked and fully recognized audit scheme covering both GAP and GMP scopes, food safety management systems (FSMS), and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).
The GFSI recognition of the PrimusGFS scheme helps move the produce industry one step closer to a unified global food safety standard. The PrimusGFS scheme covers the scope of the supply chain from pre- and to post- farm production and provides an integrated supply chain approach.

PrimusGFS is owned and managed by Azzule Systems. PrimusGFS audits are performed by Certification Bodies (auditing companies) that are approved by the PrimusGFS Scheme and accredited to perform PrimusGFS audits.

Food Safety Certifiers is ISO 17065 accredited by ANSI (American National Standards Institute) to perform audits to the PrimusGFS Scheme.

See more information on the PrimusGFS scheme here (Ver Español).

Once you are confident that your food safety plan is ready to go, and you have performed a self-audit, you can either schedule an audit or an FSC pre-assessment. During this, an inspector will visit your farm or facility and score you as they would during a real audit. A pre-assessment can help you prepare for your audit, expose any weaknesses in your plan, and give you an idea of what to expect beforehand. Click here for more information on pre-assessments.
